Thyroid Eye Disease Patient Panel

A panel of thyroid eye disease patients will relate their experiences. Dr. Roelofs will add her comments, followed by a Q&A session.

Dr. Kelsey Roelofs completed her medical education and residency training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. Following this, she embarked on a one year ocular oncology fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London U.K. She recently completed an American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of California, U.S.A. She has published over 40 peer-review papers, 19 textbook chapters and was the 2021 recipient of the Bartley R. Frueh Research Award.

Dr. Sana Ghaznavi

2023 Research Award Presentation

Dr. Ghaznavi was award the 2023 TFC Research grant. She will be presenting the results of her research project.

Dr. Sana Ghaznavi is an academic endocrinologist whose practice focuses on the management of thyroid nodules and thyroid cancers.  She completed her medical school at the University of Alberta, an endocrinology fellowship at the University of Calgary, and a thyroid cancer fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York city. She now works as a clinical assistant professor within the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, at the University of Calgary, with a cross appointment to the Department of Oncology.
